    Jesus replied, ‘I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.’” — John 8:34 UNTIL YOU ARE FREE FROM SIN, YOU ARE NOT TRULY FREE Sin is a bondage because it exercises dominion over the sinner. A person may be free politically, financially, socially, or physically, yet remain a slave to sin. Christ did not come merely to make man feel free; He came to make man free indeed. “So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” — John 8:36 And Romans 6:18 gives the other side: “Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.”
